I
was bom in Co. Leitrim, Ireland now living in the Wicklow Mountains. For
the past 12 years I have being painting and working in the healing arts.
This combination expresses itself mostly in its abstract forms through the
mediums of acrylics and oils, sometimes with sand on canvas by brush or
palate knife. When I paint, I cannot say whether I control the painting
or it controls me, everything is embryonic and constantly changing until
the complete work emerges and is bom. Even then, the work can set me into
new perspectives. I believe my work exhibits a great sense of soul energy,
where there is no sense of time, no past, present or future, I am in another
dimension where vibrant colours constantly emerge and change. I am by nature
very much a free spirit and when I paint images of the three dimensional
world we live in, this becomes very evident in my abstract works where colour
and tone wrap themselves around each other to give my paintings a vibrational
movement which always amazes me and I hope you too! I travel two to three
months of every year and continue to paint wherever I am and have exhibited
in many parts of the world. |
